If any authors want to review
juvenile books or have their own reviewed, this is the place to go.
They reviewed my book, Being Frank with Anne.

Sharing Monologues at the Paul D. Camp Community College Literary Festival
at the fifth annual Paul D. Camp Community College Literary Festival. Joined here by Professor Ronette Jacobs (author of Heartbeats, a Journey through the Soul), author and artist Timothy Giles, author and speaker Angela Corprew-Boyd, Dr. Harriette Arrington,Dr. Atkins-Brady, founder of Spiritual Concepts Publishing- Nathan Richardson, author Tony Ruggerio and PDCCC President Dr. Paul Conco. It's always fun being part of this festival where authors share their work, poets compete for awards, raffle gifts are won and there's storytelling for the little ones. What a great night!

The Last Supper
The twelve disciples and Jesus
all were gathered around the table,
breaking bread,
drinking wine,
enjoying each other's company.
Jesus knew in His heart
that something heavy was about to start.
He turns to Judas-
knowing full well what he was about.
Now Jesus, He kept His cool,
He didn't scream or shout,
only said something to
the one who'd do the deed,
something of a bad seed,
and yet, it was all to happen.
Predicted so many years ahead,
the sacrificial lamb,
the one who would bleed instead.
Now, to this day,
we take in hand,
the cup and bread,
remembering with words that are said,
the Son of the Great I Am.

A Discovered Poetry Plan using Being Frank with Anne
One of my exciting finds this month was a lesson plan online. This lesson plan for sixth graders was created by Roselyn Vasquez, a teacher in Hartford, Connecticut. I was excited to see that not only was the poetry lesson plan incorporating poetry by Longfellow and poetry about Martin Luther King, she also included use of my book about Anne Frank, Being Frank with Anne. I'd love to connect with Roselyn to see how the classwork went. Finding that online was a gratifying moment for me as a poet. It's nice to know that students are using this poetry in an educational setting.
